Casey L. Turnbough is a the CEO of The Psychiatric Care Center. She is a licensed, nationally board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Casey has been in working in healthcare since 1994. Casey began her career as a certified nursing aid. While working as a CNA, she continued training to become a registered nurse. Her experience extends among various hospitals, primarily in emergency room settings. The need for psychiatric patient care in our rural areas and hearing patients’ concerns is what guided her to continue her education. She graduated with her psychiatric degree from New Mexico State University in 2010.
Casey’s area of expertise as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is providing services for trauma patients. This includes (but is not limited to) post-traumatic stress disorder and complex PTSD. She also has extensive experience with sexual assault services. Initially she worked as a nurse examiner for adults and children as part of the New Mexico Sexual Assault Coalition.
Casey sees patients for PTSD, depression, anxiety, developmental delays, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, substance-use disorders and many others. She is educated and certified to provide counseling, different forms of therapy, as well as medication as needed. She sees patients on an individual-patient need basis and plans treatment based on each person’s mental health needs and concerns.

Kerri Self is a dedicated and highly skilled board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She is a healthcare professional with a rich background and commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.
Born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico, Kerri holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan from Chamberlain University. Her extensive educational journey, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate’s Degree in Science in Nursing from Clovis Community College, has equipped her with a diverse skill set.
With a strong foundation in assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and crisis intervention, Kerri’s practicum rotations and professional roles, such as Clinical Performance Nurse at Sound Physicians and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at Arise Sexual Assault Services, showcase her leadership, communication, and quality improvement skills. Kerri’s commitment to excellence is further highlighted through her licensures and certifications, active memberships in professional associations, and a track record of fostering collaborative work environments and improving patient experiences.

With over a decade of nursing experience, Nathania Pierre brings compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to whole-person care to every patient she serves. Her nursing journey began in 2015 as a Licensed Practical Nurse working with geropsychiatric patients, where she first discovered her passion for supporting individuals through complex mental health and life transitions.
Motivated to expand her impact, Nathania advanced her education and earned her nursing degree from Miami Dade College. She went on to gain extensive acute-care experience at HCA Aventura Hospital, working in Level I Trauma, neuro/spine-orthopedic surgery, and medical-surgical units. Caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments strengthened her clinical skills and reinforced her belief that healing requires both physical and emotional support.
Throughout her career, Nathania has had the privilege of serving diverse populations across a variety of healthcare settings. Her dedication to nursing is rooted in a genuine desire to help others—a commitment further deepened by personal experiences and years of walking alongside patients facing serious illness, emotional distress, and life-altering diagnoses. These experiences cultivated her profound appreciation for the connection between physical and mental health and ultimately inspired her transition into psychiatric care.
While completing her postgraduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training at Walden University, Nathania continued working with oncology patients at the University of Miami, further integrating mental health support into complex medical care. This unique blend of medical and psychiatric expertise allows her to approach treatment holistically, recognizing the intricate relationship between mind and body
Today, Nathania is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care that empowers patients to navigate illness, life stressors, and personal challenges with resilience and hope. She believes every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported on their path toward healing.
