The Psychiatric Care Center provides compassionate mental health services for patients in rural communities across New Mexico. We offer outpatient therapy, counseling, medication management, and other psychiatric care to help improve your mental health and quality of life.

At PCC, your needs come first. Our team provides care in a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your mental health concerns. We use empathy, compassion, and respect to build strong relationships with every patient.

Our licensed, nationally certified nurse practitioners have years of experience providing personalized mental health care. Services include psychotherapy, counseling, art therapy, medication management, and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions.

Casey L. Turnbough

Founder & CEO | Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner


Casey L. Turnbough has worked in healthcare since 1994! After years of hospital and emergency room experience, Casey saw a growing need for mental health and psychiatric care in rural communities. This led her to earn her psychiatric degree from New Mexico State University in 2010.

Casey specializes in trauma care, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, and sexual assault care. She also treats patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, developmental delays, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions.

Casey provides counseling, therapy, and medication management based on each patient’s individual needs. Her goal is to provide compassionate, personalized psychiatric care that helps patients improve their mental health and quality of life.

kerri r. self

MSN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner


Kerri Self was born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan from Chamberlain University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Clovis Community College.

Kerri has experience in psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, medication management, crisis intervention, and patient-centered care. Her healthcare background includes serving as a Clinical Performance Nurse with Sound Physicians and as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner with Arise Sexual Assault Services.

Through her education and clinical experience, Kerri has developed strong skills in mental health treatment, communication, leadership, and patient advocacy. She is committed to working closely with each patient to provide personalized psychiatric care and help improve their overall mental health and quality of life.

Nathania Pierre

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner


Nathania Pierre has more than a decade of nursing experience. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care focused on each patient’s individual needs.

Nathania began her nursing career in 2015. Her experience has taken her through many fields, including geropsychiatry, trauma, neuro and orthopedic surgery, medical-surgical care, and oncology.

Her work with patients facing serious illnesses and major life changes strengthened her passion for mental health care. She understands the way physical health can impact your mental health.

Her background in both medical and psychiatric care helps Nathania understand the important connection between physical and mental health. Today, she provides personalized psychiatric care to help patients manage mental health conditions, illness, life stress, and personal challenges. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their mental health journey.
